Since the 1970's, Vivienne Westwood has been one of the most influential luxury designers.  Her introduction of punk, rock, and new wave aesthetics into designer fashion was groundbreaking at the time and continues to inspire new generations of designers today.  Vivienne Westwood is also notable for being one of the few luxury designers that have remained independent, and for actively eschewing expansion in favor of creating more sustainable product.
